How I Made $32,315.07 With Digital Products and Consulting in February 2024
Time to document another branch of the business
Apparently you hate money. If you didn’t, you’d be using Rakuten every time you shop on websites like Walmart and Target to save money.
They have paid me over $13,943 for things I was already going to buy for my one-person business:

Late last month I asked paid subscribers of this newsletter if they liked the idea of me documenting how much money:
This newsletter makes
My digital products generate
My newer consulting business generates
The resounding response was “yes”.
Given that I have documented the P&L of my Amazon business for 3+ years now, it only feels natural to start including everything under the one-person business umbrella.
Earlier in March we started with the newsletter:
Today we will take a look at digital products and consulting.
This is something that almost no one is transparent about, but I feel like I have nothing to lose by publishing.
Let’s dive in.
My digital products exist on two platforms:
Gumroad
Whop
Gumroad is my legacy platform, while Whop is the newer one. Both have two different Stripe accounts.
Here are the results of both for February:
Total Profit: $8,065.07
My consultation numbers will require a little bit of math.
Remember this image from the newsletter post?
We have to subtract $6,303.12 from it:
Total Profit: $24,250.00
Total Combined Profit: $32,315.07
This is an impressive number, but February was a special month where I onboarded a lot of pent up demand for consultation.
That won’t happen every month.
Total Profit for 2024: $48,925.51 (January + February)
If there is anything I want you to take away from this new series, it is this:
This is what is possible when you accomplish something and then document the process/results
I’ve never had some grand strategy on how I was going to make money with digital products and consulting.
All I did was write about my business and share a little bit of it on social media.
Readers came to me and said: “Hey, do you have a course I can buy?”
I didn’t, so I made one.
Then another came along and said: “Hey, do you have a group I can join?”
I didn’t, so I made one.
Then a bunch more came along and said: “Hey, do you offer consulting?”
I didn’t, so I started to.
I don’t pay for advertising and I don’t do anything other than offer these products at the end of most newsletter posts.
In fact, there were several days last month where I didn’t get a single digital product sale.
I don’t see anything wrong with that.
