Every so often I like to post some examples of profitable transactions that made me money via my book flipping business.
It is never an attempt to brag, but to show how simple of a process it is to make real money from home on the internet.
At the core, we are just buying books at one price and selling them at a higher price.
The reason this is possible is because most large book sellers in the United States sell on multiple platforms via a very slow shipping method called USPS Media Mail.
Due to how accustomed your average consumer is to lighting fast shipping, this presents an opportunity.
Most people will pay more to get an item within two days, rather than two weeks. A handful of customers will pay WAY more to get an item within two days.
The latter is our target demographic and one that is larger than you would think.
Here are some examples of this in action.
Book #1
Book #1 is an Amazon to Amazon flip that almost doubled our initial investment of $66.50 (5% cash back).
After fees, we netted just over $56 which is a return on investment of 85%.

ROI: 85%
Book #2
Like I have said before, it is rare that I buy more than one copy of a book to flip. In this case, I bought 8 copies of the same title.
This was because it had a great sales rank and was a book I have flipped several times in the past.
It might not bring the craziest return on investment, but it’s a reliable seller.
As of the time of this publication, I have sold 5 copies for a total of $184 profit.
Cost Basis: $64.70 per book
Sale Price: $129.95 per book
Fees: $28.36 per book
Profit After Fees: $36.89 per book
ROI: 57%

Book #3
People often ask me, “Won’t this business model not work anymore after you share it with people?”

We bought at one price and sold it at over double that price.
Yes, people will pay an extra $65 to get a book sooner. You probably wouldn’t, but there are people on this earth that will.
Never say no to a paying customer.
Cost Basis: $52.73
Sale Price: $119.95
Fees: $26.54
Profit After Fees: $40.68
ROI: 77%
Book #5
This one was a heavy hitter. The sale price was four times as high as the purchase price.
Out of all of these sales, this one is the outlier by far.
You don’t come across deals like this every day, but they are out there if you have the proper systems in place.
Cost Basis: $38.54
Sale Price: $174.30
Fees: $35.02
Profit After Fees: $100.74
ROI: 261%!
Conclusion
Total Cost Basis: $576.27
Total Revenue: $1,367.92
Fees: $287.52
Profit After Fees: $503.83
ROI: 87%
Time invested: 30-60 minutes
