This is my fifth P&L for Book Flipping, read the previous one here.
In May I had the following:
Total Sales: $9,001.44
Books Sold: 105
Total Profit: $3,840
Hours Worked: ~10
Average Profit Per Book: $36.57
As you can see, May was a bit of a drop off compared to April when you look at the sales volume.
Nearly half as many books sold, but the average profit per book was way higher.
This is not surprising to me personally because as I’ve mentioned before, I am having a tough time getting enough books in to Amazon.
At the moment, I am juggling quite a few things:
Content
Esports
Getting this blog going
Financing a Vacation Rental Property + Discussing New Build
3 small e-com businesses I run
Creating a guide for retail/online arbitrage
So when something has to give, most of the time it is that extra time I’d use to grab some more books.
I am hoping I can zero in later this month and next month, once I clear a few hurdles.
The main reason being that busy season this year will be as crazy as ever and I want to stock up for it.
I am sending in about 25-30 books per week and will need to triple that for July to get where I’d like to be.
Start bookmarking books that have spikes in New/Used pricing every year for August/September. Buy those low this month and next for easy profit.
If you would like to learn how to flip books like this, I encourage you to grab a copy of my book flipping guide here if you haven't already.
I also share a bunch of information about side hustles like this on my YouTube channel.
