My Favorite Sets from the 2024 TIE LEGO Hit List

The hit list remains final, but I want to add a bit of personal opinion to every set.

This post is brought to you by me.

Collecting profit on your LEGO investments isn’t as easy as it sounds.

You need an active Amazon Seller account, approval to sell the LEGO brand, and an understanding of how to send your LEGO to Amazon when the time to sell comes.

You can put that off until the last minute or you can get my LEGO Investing Mastery guide that is inside the paid subscriber Discord group.

In just 105 minutes, you will learn how to get everything set up and which costly mistakes to avoid as a beginner.

Around this time last month I published the final version of the 2024 LEGO Hit List:

All of you should know that I have a system that picks the winning sets for me that I include in the above hit list.

It allows me to remove emotion from the process and stick to a plan.

However, that doesn’t mean I don’t feel more confident about some sets and less confident about others.

After doing this for a long time, you develop a bit of a sixth sense.

It is how I was able to identify that both the Technic Heavy-Duty Excavator 42121 and City Passenger Airplane 60262 would be good investments back in 2022 despite them not being picked by my system.

I just knew deep down these would be good so I invested in them anyway.

They ended up outperforming almost every set that retired that year.

The Excavator went from $32 to $150+ and the Airplane went from $80 to $200+.

This year, I don’t see a similar opportunity outside of the hit list.

The same applied in 2023, unfortunately.

The only potential set I see this year is the Last Crusade Fighter Plane Chase 77012 from Indiana Jones:

Chances are it won’t do any better than the hit list sets and that I only like it because I loved the Indiana Jones movies as a kid.

Given that there isn’t much opportunity outside the hit list, I want to focus on the sets in it and give my thoughts on which ones I believe:

  1. You can’t own enough of

  2. Will underperform despite making the list

I am doing this so we can look back a year from now.

I’ll probably look stupid but there’s a chance I’ll look like a genius.

Let’s dive in.
