We just hit $100,000 in sales for the year!

November is a bit of an in between month when it comes to book flipping.
We are a couple months removed from the busy season of August and September, but we are nearing the next busy season in January.
Does that means books don’t sell in November? No, it doesn’t.
However, you can’t really expect a ton of volume no matter how much inventory you have.
This is why my book flipping method hinges on the idea of focusing on higher ranked books on average during the off months.
In a way, it mitigates the lower sales volume whereas you can get away with more during the busy months.
Here are my Amazon numbers from November:
Just like last month, these numbers aren’t exclusively books.
After tallying up how many books I sold, these are the numbers we were left with:
Total Sales: $4,266.22
Books Sold: 39
Cost of Goods + Fees: $2,761.84
Total Profit: $1,504.38
Hours Worked: ~3-5
Average Profit Per Book: $38.57
Here are the yearly totals:
2021 Total Sales: $101,704.47
2021 Books Sold: 1,139
2021 Total Profit: $37,073.27
2021 Profit Margin: 36.5%
We hit a new milestone, over $100,000 in revenue from just books alone. What really matters though is profit which has just eclipsed $37,000.
Again, while that doesn’t sound that impressive, keep in mind I hardly ever work more than 5-10 hours per month on this business.
That is anywhere between $350-650 per hour, which is the absolute definition of efficient income.
It is the sole reason I still run this business and why I like to show other people how to do it themselves.
As for the month of November, I would have been happy with anything above $1,000 profit for the month.
My capital has been specifically focused on product to sell for the holidays as well as investing in collectibles and stocks that have dipped recently.
Expectations for December are roughly the same as the month of November.
The final week of the month is when the book market starts heating up so there may be a pickup in sales, we will see.
January will be busy as usual of course.
