The Best LEGO Sets to Invest in that Retire in 2023 - Version 6.0 (HUGE UPDATE)
I have uncovered a pot of gold.
This post is brought to you by me. If you want to learn how to get started with LEGO investing, look no further than my LEGO Investing Mastery guide.
In just 90 minutes, you will learn the entire LEGO investing process and which costly mistakes to avoid as a beginner.

Friendly reminder:
There is no way to know exactly when any given LEGO set is going to retire, but crowdsourced data from Brickfanatics and the LEGOLeak subreddit is pretty accurate.
Using this information, I then analyze how each set is performing on Amazon to zero-in on sets I believe will perform best post-retirement.
So far, I’ve done a great job of outperforming the average return of the LEGO market (and the stock market too for that matter).
My 2023 Hit List
Over the last month, I’ve done extensive digging into what made the best investments of 2021 and 2022 (so far) the best investments.
I also dug into what makes the worst investments, the worst investments.
Having done this before, I made sure to go deeper this time.
In turn, I have developed a system that will allow us to target LEGO sets that have the greatest chance to outperform the average, while avoiding the stinkers.
Will this system be perfect? Of course not. No system is.
However, I have a high degree of confidence it will outperform the average by a greater magnitude than the previous system.
Important: You as the reader will get to see the sets the system chooses, but I will not be disclosing the system criteria.
That will be included in a free future update to LEGO Investing Mastery, if you are interested in seeing it.
The new system did not like many sets I had in the previous versions of the hit list, so expect some dramatic changes.
Remember, my hit list are sets that I am most bullish on. There are still several sets I will be buying that aren’t on this list.
As always, PRICE trumps everything. If you can get a LEGO set that doesn’t suck for 50% off, it’s going to be a great investment.
The list assumes all sets are purchased at an equal price point (e.g. all at MSRP or all at 20% OFF)
Let’s dive in.
