The Best LEGO Sets to Invest in that Retire in 2023 - Version 4.0
With an update to sets that are set to retire this year, I present you the fourth edition of my LEGO Hit List.
This post is brought to you by me. If you want to learn how to get started with LEGO investing, look no further than my LEGO Investing Mastery guide.
In just 90 minutes, it will teach you how to outperform the stock market by buying, holding, and selling sealed boxes of LEGOs.

Last month we added two new sets to the hit list and removed a bunch of others that I fell out of love with.
This month, I have added several new sets in that I feel have a ton of potential to perform well as investments in 2024 and beyond.
Friendly reminder:
There is no way to know exactly when any given LEGO set is going to retire, but crowdsourced data from Brickfanatics and the LEGOLeak subreddit is pretty accurate.
Using this information, I then analyze how each set is performing on Amazon to zero-in on sets I believe will perform best post-retirement.
So far, I’ve done a great job of outperforming the average return of the LEGO market (and the stock market too for that matter).
My 2023 Hit List
Remember, do not be surprised to see me invest in other sets that are not on this list.
These are just the sets that I feel most confident about, at this point in time.
I often add sets to the investment portfolio that I have not been targeting if I can get a good enough deal on the position.
If the market hands you 50% OFF of a LEGO set, chances are it’s going to end up being a great investment, regardless of what that set is.
The sets on this list will change regularly based on data. There is no guarantee any of them remain by year end.
Let’s dive in.
