To read last month’s P&L Report, go here.
It’s once again time for a look at the previous month and how the book flipping business performed on Amazon.
This business has been actively operating for over eight years, at varying levels of performance.
At this point, I only run it to show people what is possible because it is a very easy business to operate and it makes an incredibly efficient income.
It’s also fun to operate, so there’s that too!
February is where the long off season begins leading up to summer.
Books still sell, but your options are far more limited. You have to really make sure the sales rank of the books you buy are strong.
February 2022
After weeding out sales of leftover items from the holiday season, we were left with the following numbers:
Total Sales: $8,722.78
Books Sold: 107
Cost of Goods + Fees: $5,542.26
Total Profit: $3,180.52
Hours Worked: ~7-10
Average Profit Per Book: $29.72
Here are the numbers from February 2021:
Total Sales: $7,838.54
Books Sold: 113
Cost of Goods + Fees: $4,998.54
Total Profit: ~$2,840
Hours Worked: ~10-15
Average Profit per Book: ~$25
In January 2022, we didn’t perform nearly as well as January 2021. However, that turned around last month. We made $300 more in profit vs. the year prior.
I didn’t go out of my way to try and perform better, but I believe I was a little less aggressive with my pricing in January.
That allowed the demand of certain book titles to eventually meet my higher prices.
This is something you have the luxury of doing, once your book buying capital is high enough.
It should be expected that March - June will bring numbers worse than this moving forward.
I am only willing to devote a couple hours each week to this business and you can only find so many books in the off season with that quota.
Nonetheless, it’s been a great start to the year:
Total Profit for 2022: $6,460.49
Hours worked: ~15
If you would like to learn how to flip books like this, I encourage you to grab a copy of my Book Flipping Guide by clicking the red button below.
The first 10 people to do so, will get the guide for $30 instead of $40.
It has helped countless people start their first business and allowed them to:
Pay off debt
Boost income
Become self-employed
It’s only a matter of time before this guide becomes the first step to someone becoming financially free as a result.
If I can make $40,000 profit in 2021 by only doing flipping books a couple hours per week, you can beat that with some dedicated effort.
I have a question. I'm trying to sign up for an Amazon seller account but the site won't let me. I keep getting an error page. I've emailed customer support and apparently there's no seller support? I find this very strange seeing as how Amazon is a Fortune 500 company yet there's bugs in their registration page for sellers. I'd appreciate any help.
