TIE #068: How to Make $10,786 in a Single Month with a Newsletter
Here are the results for July for the Introvert Entrepreneur
Your first step to escaping the rat race is making your first $1,000 online.
The best way to accomplish this as a beginner is with a simple Amazon business where you sell other people’s products.
It worked for me 10 years ago and it’s what I would do if I had to start over from scratch today.
You can try to figure that out on your own or you can become a paid subscriber and receive free access to my private mentorship group on Discord:
Upon joining, you will get full access to all my premium guides and content.
Choice is yours.
Welcome to the monthly performance update for this newsletter where we see how much money it makes over a single month.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I love sharing how much profit my different businesses make.
Actually, that’s a lie.
I love it when other people share how much profit their businesses make but hardly anyone does.
So I said: “Fine, I’ll do it myself”
Let’s take a look at how we did in July:
Total subscribers gained: +263
Despite pruning around 170 readers, we had a net gain in July of 263.
I’m sure some of you are surprised at how often I have to prune the newsletter, but this is pretty normal.
A lot of people sign up for things they never even read and then don’t even take the time to unsubscribe.
Think about how many unread emails you have sitting in one of you many inboxes out there.
Don’t worry, I do it too.
Next up, paid subscribers:
Paid subscribers gained: -2
In our first full calendar month since doubling the price of paid subscriptions for new members, we only had a net loss of 2.
I am thrilled with this.
More impressive is the fact that we had 21 unsubscribes from paid members meaning 19 readers find that what I offer at the current pricing is worth paying for.
That is huge.
I’m always trying to find a balance between a healthy readership and exclusivity that is limited to less than 1,000 people.
Next we have traffic:
Total Views: 123,083 (-13,364 vs. June)
There are a number of reasons views dropped in July, but I don’t really care that they did.
I am very much a “it is what it is” business-person.
Right now it is summertime and I don’t expect people to be hanging on my every word.
As kids return to school and people lock in prior to the holiday season, numbers will likely increase.
If they don’t, that’s cool too.
Here are the traffic sources:
I still haven’t done anything with YouTube.
I think my hatred of sitting down to record a video and talk in front of a camera is going to win the battle here.
Getting myself to interrupt my casual work day sounds excruciating every time I consider doing it.
Wish I understood why I feel that way.
Finally, here is how much money we made from paid subscriptions, straight from Stripe:
Total Profit: $10,786.16 (-$286.90 vs. June)
After a large increase in June, it has more or less stuck around.
I don’t really mind what it does but it’s cool to see that you can make $10,000+/month by simply operating businesses and documenting the process.
As always my priorities with the Introvert Entrepreneur are as follows:
Write the newsletter I wish someone else would write
Help paid subscribers make money (way more than they pay me every month)
Keep the community here niche and exclusive
Nothing more, nothing less.
When you are ready, there is one way I can help you.
