TIE Pokémon Booster Box Portfolio Report - June 2025 (cooling off?)
Come take a look at which Pokémon Booster Boxes I own and how much money they've made me.
Welcome to a monthly series where I document the performance of my Pokémon booster box portfolio.
I started this series back in 2021 and re-introduced it late last year.
If you missed last month’s post, check it out here:
With the reintroduction of this series, I am now issuing buy/sell alerts for Pokémon booster boxes for paid subscribers, just like I do with LEGO.
In these alerts, I tell you what I’m buying. What you do with that information is up to you.
The Pokémon card market has been on a heater over the last year.
I don’t know why it happened, but a ton of people who were not in the hobby all the sudden decided to join the hobby.
Some say it is because of “rip and ship” live streams on social media platforms, but I’m not entirely convinced.
Rip and ship streams are where you pay a live streamer to open packs for you, instead of opening them yourself.
Instant dopamine (as if people don’t already have enough sources of this).
These streams always existed on YouTube though.
They aren’t new.
Pair that with the Pokémon Company just not having the capacity to meet the demands of the market and you get the situation we are in now:
Newly released product selling for way above MSRP
My portfolio had the largest gain it has ever had from April to May.
Technically it is a bubble and bubbles can persist for a long time.
There are signs that the market is cooling down a bit.
Allow me show you my portfolio so you can see the evidence:
