That’s a nice way to get the AT ST. Will your prep center open it and then sell them separately for you? I expressed the AT ST position differently - via Kohls ($10 kohls cash for every $50 purchase) bought AT ST at $39.99 and then will use the K Cash to buy Speed Champions
The AT-ST is a nice set, I put in on my buy-list. What do you guys think about 75342 Republic Fighter Tank for 35€ (37$)? Could buy it in bulk in a shop here in Germany. I'm a bit on the fence because everybody is talking about this set. But 22% discount from MSRP is nice. Just wanted to hear your thoughts.
I just got 20 from Amazon. Delivered today and 6 had damage. Some appear to just have smashed the box a bit, one got glue from the packaging bag so the outside ripped some of the packaged and another the corner is almost open. How much is too much damage to the box?
Got 20 of the Megalodon and 10 of the AT-ST. Have to manage positions from here.
Fees from Amazon to sell any legos seems super high. With fees it seems you get back to about msrp, so the money to be made has to be the retirement “pop”. Am I reading it right?
Buy these at 25-35% off msrp, retirement pop moves them 20-25% above msrp and that makes up for processing and the absurd fees from Amazon?
Also dumb general question here (new sub) - if all of us here are going to put these up on Amzn FBA in 12-16 months, won't that push the price down on these or is it a moot point since there is enough demand at that point post retirement and/holiday season etc?

That's a solid play too. My prep centers will do it for a small charge. I'm sure most would.

It’s a great buy at any price because it’s a Target exclusive in the US. I would buy them at that price for sure.
ok cool i will buy a good bit then
if i have the capital is 20 ok to do or to much for this kind of set?
No… some people buy 500+ of a single set.
i have the capital
would you buy the limit on amazon for Technic Monster Jam Megalodon 42134
Depends on how much capital you have and how much you want to allocate to one set.
That’s a personal choice.
thanks going to buy some today
How important is it that the sealed unopened box be in pristine condition? I got some from Amazon and the corners are a bit mangled.
Personal preference. Not the end of the world unless it’s an actual hole or big dent.

Any crushed or opened I would return. Return all with damage if it bothers you.

Yes. You would never aim to sell these anytime soon.
Retirement pop is more like 50-100% ROI if you wait to sell in 12-16 months post-purchase
Yes
12-16 months
Do you wait 12-16 months before shipping them to the FBA warehouse? I assume your storage costs are cheaper vs paying Amazon’s monthly theta burn
Yes I do and you are correct.

There is enough demand.
Also, some sets spike super hard a few months post retirement (abnormally), many investors choose to exit there and reinvest elsewhere.
It's not all happening at the same moment.
Gotcha thanks! Also curious, how many of these sets do you buy? Are you maxing out the 9 orders and then making more accounts to do another 9 orders?
Not enough demand for my liking
