TIE #074: How to Make $3,859 in Profit on Amazon in a Single Month (while hardly working)
Come see how much money my Amazon business made in September 2024
Your first step to escaping the rat race is making your first $1,000 online.
The best way to accomplish this as a beginner is with a simple Amazon business where you sell other people’s products.
It worked for me 10 years ago and it’s what I would do if I had to start over from scratch today.
You can attempt to figure that out on your own or you can become a paid subscriber and get free access to my private mentorship group on Discord:

Choice is yours.
I have been documenting how much profit my personal Amazon business makes in this newsletter for almost 4 years now.
While running this type of business was never a dream of mine, it is what laid the foundation for me to live a lifestyle full of freedom and fulfillment.
In 2024, an Amazon business is still the best option if you want to accomplish something similar and have no business experience.
This post is #45 of this series, you can read post #44 here:
My Amazon business has three branches:
Branch 1: Non-fiction book arbitrage (read here if you do not know what this is)
Branch 2: LEGO investment sales (read here if you do not know what this is)
Branch 3: Any and all other online arbitrage
Depending on the time of year, they all rise and fall independently from each other.
It is not your average Amazon business.
I target the highest profit margin possible while aiming to work as little as possible.
This often means buying products and waiting a while before selling them.
The game I play is efficiency, I do not play “number go up” simulator.
Let’s take a look at how we did in September:
Total Sales: $13,130.41
Items Sold: 157
Cost of Goods + Fees: $9,270.94
Total Profit: $3,859.47
Hours Worked: ~4
Average Profit Per Item: $24.58
Total Profit for 2024: $78,289.37
As expected, we saw a large fall off in volume for September (like we see every year).
After the back to school season ends, my stocked inventory gets extremely light and this is the result.
The only way to avoid this is to spend extra time finding additional random arbitrage opportunities that don’t involve non-fiction books or LEGO.
I didn’t do that this year.
Instead, I spent my time working on Diald (my new supplement business) and this newsletter.
If Amazon was my only gig, you’d see a much larger number here and I’m okay with that.
October will likely yield a revenue of below $10,000 as we gear up for the holiday selling season.
Workload will increase (to like 10 hours/month at most) as I spend some time preparing for the January busy season for books.
But outside of that, not much will happen.
We are looking at a total profit for 2024 of well over $100,000 once again just like we did in 2023.
Things are going well.
If you’ve been paying attention to the ongoing east coast longshoreman strike, then there is a potential this holiday season for margins we’ve never seen.
When you shut off half of the country’s supply and demand for goods remains constant, you see an explosion in prices.
Something to keep in mind.
I can’t imagine not having an online business right now.
You know how people say starting a business is risky?
I argue the opposite.
NOT having one is risky.
None of that matters if you don’t take action though.
That choice is yours and I can’t make it for you.
When you are ready, there is one way I can help you.
